Ads are a very prominent part of a magazine.
Therefore, they need to be professionally designed to uphold the quality of the publication. This gives the magazine a cohesive feel, raises the quality of the publication, and in turn the value of your advertising.
Ads must:
- Be professionally designed
- Meet current design trends
- Be contemporary and minimalist in style
We do reserve the right to refuse publication of ad artwork that we deem does not meet our guidelines or standards, but we are always able to work with clients to find a suitable outcome.
Note to Advertisers and Designers:
- Please envision and aim for uncluttered designs
- We recommend your ad convey one key message really well
- Please use text sparingly – eg 100 words maximum on designed ads
- Brand Ads cannot be designed to look like articles (advertorials)
– Sponsored Feature articles (advertorials) are available – please enquire - Please use contemporary fonts (designers using Comic Sans or Papyrus will be blacklisted ;)

All copy (text) to be pathed/outlined
If open files are submitted, do not apply “Style Attributes” to copy (Bold, Italic, etc) – use the actual Bold or Italic font and attach the actual font/typeface used
Advertising Terms
& Conditions
- Niseko Media KK will reserve space for your ad upon verbal or written confirmation
- Niseko Media KK guarantees publication of the ad/s upon:
1) Receipt of payment by 31 August 2024 (Summerlife 30 April);
2) Receipt and approval of advertising content or artwork data by 31 August 2024 (Summerlife 30 April). - Niseko Media KK reserves the right to refuse publication of ad artwork it deems does not meet Powderlife Design Guidelines or standards (We will work with advertisers to amend artwork deemed not to meet our guidelines).
- Cancellation requests must be made in writing
ROP (standard) Placement
- Advertisers may cancel ROP (general placement) advertisements by 20 August 2024 with no penalty or full refund.
- 50% refund will be given for ROP ads cancelled or disapproved between 20 August 2024 – 31 August 2024.
- No refunds will be given for ROP ads cancelled or disapproved after 1 September 2024.
Premium Position Placement
- Advertisers may cancel Premium Position placement advertisements by 30 June 2024 and receive a 50% refund on full advertisement cost.
- No refund will be given for Premium Position placement ads cancelled or disapproved after 1 July 2024.
- Niseko Media KK will conduct thorough checks to ensure ad artwork prints as it believes is intended, but is not liable for any variations in colour or errors resulting from errors in supplied data.
- In the event of any error not caused by errors supplied by the Advertiser, Niseko Media KK’s liability shall be limited to the return of any charges paid by the Advertiser to Niseko Media KK.
- Niseko Media KK reserves the right to resize or otherwise alter ads if necessary to fit publication.
- The Advertiser and agencies representing the Advertiser assume liability for all ad contents, text, photos, illustrations, representations, and advertisements printed, and also assume responsibility for any claims arising therefrom made against Niseko Media KK.
- The Advertiser assumes full responsibility that the Advertiser’s advertisement, business operations, services and products comply with all applicable laws.
