Description

If a sense of privacy and low-key luxury is what you’re looking for in a Rusutsu accommodation option, then the quiet comfort of Midori House is perfect for any group trip. Spacious and cosy at the same time, this recently built Hokkaido pine chalet boasts a fantastic location whilst maintaining a relaxed detachment from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

It’s the crisp, white magic of the outdoors that draws an international array of holiday makers back to Hokkaido every winter. With this in mind, full length windows – which stretch the height of the whole chalet – establish a beautiful relationship between that natural world and the warm interior of Midori House and its high-quality finish. A large lounge area is central to the property, which acts as the perfect heart of the house with the addition of a cosy wood-burning stove. If long evenings spent together watching movies on the sofas or playing games around the fire sounds like the ideal get away, then Midori House could be a wonderful option for any large group of friends or family.

Sleeping up to 10 people, the house is light, open and spacious. A fully equipped kitchen provides the perfect setting for home-cooked meals after another fantastic day in Rusutsu’s exceptional powder snow, with all of the appliances that any discerning traveller might expect. Wireless internet runs across the whole property, and Sky TV is available on the large flat-screen found in the lounge area.

Midori House Accommodation

All sleeping arrangements at Midori House come in the Western style of either double or twin beds. Two of the four bedrooms are ensuite, and there is an additional Japanese bathroom to be shared by the rest of the guests in the house. Of the 8 people that are able to sleep in the bedrooms, a further 2 more are welcome to sleep on the comfortable sofas in the lounge – allowing for large groups and complete families to enjoy this wonderful property together.

Midori House Location

Rusutsu is a quirky, Japanese resort in Hokkaido with a definite focus on families. Catering for all levels of skier and snowboarder, the resort is a perfect place to learn whilst also standing as one of the most popular areas in the world for high level enthusiasts of fine, dry and deep powder snow. Midori House is a short walk (around 5 minutes) away from the ski lift access on the West (and busiest) side of the resort. Rusutsu is domainated by the presence of two very large hotels, and as a result, the resort does not have a village layout or vibe. Nightlife here is limited in comparison to nearby Niseko (just a 40 minute drive away), and as a result, most nearby eateries and bars are found within the hotel developments.
