Sekka Annupuri Lodge has an old European style exterior with a beautiful traditional Japanese flavour inside. While the styling is traditional, it’s all super modern and sleek with high quality furniture and fittings. Designer Shouya Grigg – who is the man behind the uber-chic Sekka brand – aimed to create a blend of modern with Japanese “wa”, which is a Japanese concept that is most closely translated in English as “harmony”, particularly within a social group. Hence Sekka Annupuri Lodge has been designed to ensure ultimate peace and harmony for all guests staying in the lodge. With the serene snowbound setting in sleepy Annupuri Village you’re in for a relaxing holiday.
There are six suites in the lodge, and these can be booked individually, or pending availability, the lodge can be booked in its entirety. Breakfasts are included in the price. There is a dining room and also a stylish private wine lounge and bar for lodge guests. There is also a library with a nice range of interesting books and magazines where you can spend time relaxing.
Sekka Annupuri Lodge Accommodation
Sekka Annupuri Lodge sleeps 14 people in six bedrooms. All bedrooms have king-size double beds that can be split to make two singles. They also all have their own ensuite, unlike many other shared lodges in the Niseko area, as well as living areas with flat screen TV and a dock for iPods to play your favourite tunes to tweak the atmosphere to your liking.
Sekka Annupuri Lodge Location
Sekka Annupuri Lodge is located, as the name suggests, in the quiet resort of Annupuri. Mt Annupuri is the name of the mountain that the four Niseko United resorts are on. They are all on the southern side of the mountain, and Annupuri is the western-most of these – or on the left if you’re looking up the mountain or at a map. The next resort to the east or to the right is Niseko Village, which is home to the Hilton Hotel; then Hirafu which is the busiest resort and home of most of the action and entertainment; and then Hanazono which is another quiet resort.
The lodge is just three or four minutes walk from the Annupuri resort lifts, and the resort offers excellent skiing for all levels of ability. There are several great onsen hot spring baths out here and a dozen or more restaurants and bars within walking distance, but it’s definitely not a party area. Annupuri is for quiet relaxation and epic skiing. Enjoy!
