Description

Club Niseko is a large, older-style lodge in the Izumikyo 2 area which is run by the Australian Alpine Club. It offers comfortable and great value accommodation for skiers and snowboarders from all walks of life and is a great option for couples, families or groups of friends travelling together.

The peaceful East Hirafu Village area, otherwise known as Izumikyo 2, is situated a littleout of the main village itself. From here you can get fantastic views of Mt Yotei on a clear day, as well as the surrounding mountain scapes and snow-covered forests. It’s well situated between both the Hirafu and Hanazono ski areas with easy access to the shuttle bus, as well as being close to nearby Kutchan. For those who like to do their own cooking, or just want to get a few supplies, the lodge manager makes several trips a week into Kutchan and guests are more than welcome to tag along.

The lodge has great facilities for their guests, including a fully-equipped commercial kitchen, a well-appointed media and computer room with TV and DVD player and communal computers, wifi internet and laundry facilities.

The lodge welcomes people of all nationalities, and the management team are a mix of Japanese and English speakers. Guests will enjoy the welcoming and informal lodge lodge atmosphere.

Niseko Club Location

Niseko Club is located in the Izumikyo 2 area of Hirafu, a little way down the main road through Hirafu heading towards Hanazono and Kutchan. It’s about a 20-minute walk up the hill to get to the main village, but there’s a bus stop right outside the front door with the free village shuttle coming past on a regular basis. It’s only five-minutes by shuttle up to the village by shuttle. The lodge has a minibus available for trips up to the village or for visiting local onsens, Kutchan, or anything else you might want to do. They also offer a pick-up and drop-off service between the lodge and the Hirafu Welcome Centre for those arriving and departing by bus.

There are some great restaurants located in Izumikyo 2, so if you want to head out for a meal but don’t feel like going all the way up to the village, you’ve got some great choices. Try the local specialty soup curry at Tsubara Tsubara, or get delicious fresh sandwiches, rolls and cakes from Graubunden.
