Overview

Traditional ski lodge
Heart of the action
Quirky cabin design

Breakfast daily
Japanese-style bath
Walk to restaurants/bars

On free village shuttle route
Guest ski lift shuttle
Welcome centre transfers

Moorea Lodge was once a traditional Japanese-style bed and breakfast, and retains its quirky eclectic furnishings and warm at-home feel from that time. No two rooms look alike, with some featuring lofts and old-fashioned carpets, while others come with chairs and table arrangements.

Moorea Lodge has 2, 3 and 4-bed private rooms and a 5-bedroom shared dormitory with all rooms cleaned daily. The bathrooms are communal shared bathrooms in the old Japanese style – segregated by gender, with a deep bath and a row of sit-down showers to wash yourself up before a long soak.

A free breakfast is provided, otherwise there is a kitchen that can be used to cook your meals and a large dining area for eating and drinking with fellow travellers if you want to spend the night in. Views are of the surrounding snow-buried village, unlike anything you’ll see anywhere else in the world!

Moorea Lodge
Location

Setting / Atmosphere

Moorea Lodge is located in Momiji-Zaka Street in Middle Hirafu Village – one of the village’s main dining and entertainment hotspots in Niseko. It’s great fun for an après-ski tipple, though might be a little noisy later in the evenings – but nothing a budget traveller won’t be able to handle.

Lifts / Transport

The lifts are a five to 10-minute walk from the lodge, or if you don’t feel like walking, there is a shuttle bus stop nearby from where you can ride on up with ease – perhaps a good option with ski or snowboard boots on.

Restaurants / Bars

There are a dozen or more restaurants and bars within a snowballs throw of the lodge. Everything from upmarket French cuisine and cocktails at The Barn across the road, to jazz at Half Note bar, to parties and late night drinks at Splash and Barunba.

Moorea Lodge is incredible Andres went above and beyond to help us in every way that he could! the location is great granted you are right next to a shuttle stop you can easily walk to the lower lifts in about 5 mins. I can not say enough about how Andres went above and beyond for our group he even helped us figure out our Transportation to and from the Sapporo Airport! There are plenty of good food options with in walking distance and great bars in the area! The Lodge itself was everything we needed, the rooms aren’t huge but honestly who goes to a ski town to sit in the room! the best part of Moorea is their Staff they are always available to help and have an amazing knowledge of where to got and things to do! if you are able i recommend trying out the Local Onsens and Karaoke (If you don’t mind a Taxi)! When Staying here if you have questions or any concerns or need anything Ask you won’t be disappointed and the staff will always point you in the right direction!
