Captain Hirafu, or “Captain” as it’s more affectionately known, is located in a prime spot in the heart of Hirafu. Captain is a cosy B&B-style cottage, making it an ideal home-away-from-home in Japan’s powder capital, Niseko. The cottage caters for no more than 16 guests at a time, providing friendly and personal service and can be booked as a whole lodge for large families or groups, or smaller groups can book individual rooms.
The cottage is run by Australian and Japanese staff who provide a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy during your stay in Hirafu. They’re always there to assist with anything you might need and can help you organise lift tickets and ski or snowboarding lessons (with prior arrangement), and are also happy to take you out and show you where to get the best powder, and share with you their favourite spots in the village. That sort of local knowledge is invaluable!
The lodge features four spacious bedrooms that will sleep up to 16 guests very comfortably. There is a large catering kitchen and a dining area that doubles as a second living area during the day. The main lounge area offers stunning views of Mt Yotei, which you can enjoy whilst relaxing by the cosy fireplace. If you’re taking a break from the slopes there is plenty to keep you entertained including a home theatre system, as well as a great selection of DVDs, books and boardgames and wireless internet throughout.
The property has full laundry facilities, and a ski and board drying room plus storage racks. There’s also an area to store your ski and board bags during your stay.
