Niseko Park Hotel Living Area with Fireplace | Upper Hirafu

The Park Hotel is one of the older hotels in Niseko. It is independently owned and operated, by the same family that originally ran the business. Originally hosting only Japanese style tatami rooms with shared bathrooms and showers, recently a new annex has been added, with western and Japanese style rooms and en-suite bathrooms.

The building stands between the Family Run and Hirafu-Zaka street, meaning access to nightlife and slopes is equally good. This hotel is relatively child friendly due to its proximity to the beginner slopes. The hotel has 3 types of rooms: twin western rooms, Japanese tatami rooms with en-suite, and Japanese tatami rooms without en-suite. All room types have TV, small fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, towels, bathrobes, basic toiletries (toothbrush & soap set) and hair dryers.

The hotel has an indoor & outdoor Japanese bath (onsen) segregated for men & women, a sauna, an old English feel common lounge area with antique furniture and roaring fireplace, a boutique gift shop, a public computer and internet access in common areas. It also has a karaoke room and a games room for the kids. There is also lock up ski storage available so no need to drag skis into your room. The hotel also has its own restaurant which serves a buffet style breakfast (Japanese & Western) from 7 – 9am and dinner from 2 – 9pm. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate.

Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

The Niseko Park Hotel is located centrally on Hirafu-Zaka street, in Upper Hirafu. Everything is right on your doorstep from rentals right across the road to a wide choice of restaurants and retail stores up and down Hirafu’s main street. Most of the late-night venues and revellers are further down the street, so you won’t be bothered by noise either!

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

The hotel is located in the main street in the upper Hirafu Village. It is not ski-in/ski-out, however there is a rear entrance to the building that leads to the Family Run (which is a beginners run) about 50 metres away. If you want to visit another area within Hirafu, the free town shuttle pick up directly in front of the hotel.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

This is one of the best locations in Hirafu; from here you can walk to restaurants, bars and shops all within a few minutes. Look for A-bu-cha and Bang Bang, legendary local izakayas a minute’s walk away.
