Description

The Hotel Niseko Alpen is one of the best located properties in Hirafu. Situated at the top of one of Hirafu’s main streets, Hirafu-Zaka St, it’s the perfect ski-in/ski-out location for skiers and boarders of all abilities, offering easy access to the family slope for beginners and the kids, and it sits right at the base of the Ace Quad Chair which is Hirafu’s main access lift. It’s also within easy walking distance of most of Niseko’s best restaurants and bars, as well as a shuttle stop right nearby.

Hotel Niseko Alpen Japanese Style Room | Upper Hirafu

The Hotel Niseko Alpen is a landmark in Hirafu. Operated by Grand Hirafu’s ski resort operators, Tokyu Resort Service, the hotel has unparalleled access to the ski hill and a huge host of facilities for staying guests and day visitors to use.

The hotel is very family-friendly, not only due to its easy access to the beginner slopes, but they also offer fantastic childminding facilities. The kids’ room is supervised by fully-qualified nursery staff and offers full-service childminding for from 9am – 4pm daily.

If you don’t feel like hitting the slopes, there’s plenty more on offer at the hotel, such as a 25m heated indoor pool, two jacuzzis, indoor and outdoor onsens plus both a traditional and dry stone sauna. If the onsen or jacuzzi haven’t relaxed you enough make a trip to the massage clinic and enjoy one of the many services on offer such as Swedish, Shiatsu or aromatherapy massage or foot reflexology. There’s also an osteopathy and acupuncture clinic if you’ve done yourself an injury on the slopes.

Other facilities include a massage service, offering many types of massage, two karaoke rooms, a gift shop, ski storage and wireless internet in the public areas. The hotel has two restaurants, one of which is a popular sushi restaurant, as well as a café and a bar.

Hotel Niseko Alpen has three types of rooms. The Japanese style rooms will sleep up to four guests in two single beds and two tatami/futon beds, the Western-style rooms will sleep two guests in two single beds, and the Deluxe Twin rooms will also sleep two guests in a larger room with larger single beds. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms.

In each room guests will find a TV and mini-fridge, as well as hairdryers, bathrobes, slippers, towels and toiletries.

ONE BEDROOM JAPANESE WESTERN COMBINATION - 1, 2 GUESTS

The Japanese Western combination rooms give you the best of both worlds. The western section has carpeting, a table and chair, and two western-style single beds. Next to that is a Japanese section with tatami straw mat flooring, a low table and floor seating. En-suite, the bathroom has a shower, bath, washstand and toilet.

Rooms at the Alpen are charged based on how many people are sleeping in the room. The western rooms have two western single beds, with a third person able to sleep with a fold-out single bed. There is a small seating nook, a desk and chair, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a bedside table with light control and radio. There is an en-suite unit bathroom with shower, bath, washstand and toilet.

Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

Hotel Niseko Alpen is situated at the top of Hirafu-Zaka St and is perfectly located for everything to do in Hirafu. You can step out the door and straight on to the slopes, or walk down the hill for a bite to eat and one of Hirafu’s many restaurants and bars. If you want to get to the gondola, or one of the resort’s other ski areas, there’s a shuttle stop just across the road. The Hotel Niseko Alpen has everything you need, right at your doorstep.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

The Hotel Niseko Alpen has the best location, with the Ace Quad Lift right outside. The dedicated ski locker area opens right onto the Family Lift. It’s a great place for geting to other resort too, with the Welcome Center – Hirafu’s transport hub – right across the road. There is parking if you come by car, and a rent-a-car office right in the lobby if you’d like to rent one during your stay.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

As the Alpen sits at the top of the village, most of the restaurants and bars in Hirafu are a short stroll downhill – just watch out for the steep hike back up! On-site, the Hotel Niseko Alpen offers a host of options with Shokusai Hirafu offering delicious sushi and tempura, and Slalom serving up a gorgeous buffet breakfast and lunch. There’s a gift shop on site that stocks an impressive range of sports gear and snowsports accessories, as well as snacks, essentials and a range of souvenirs.
