Clean modern design

The hotel was designed with all seasons in mind, but of course with a particular focus on winter. Throughout winter there is a free shuttle bus running guests to and from the ski lifts and the centre of Hirafu Village. There is a dedicated ski storage area on the ground floor meaning you don’t have to bring your powder-covered skis into your room.

There are 104 rooms in the hotel which enjoys a range of different views – some up to the ski hill (which is beautifully lit up in the evenings for night skiing), some with views up to the magnificent conic volcano peak of Mt Yotei, and others simply enjoying the tranquil views of the surrounding powder-laden countryside all around.

The hotel has a café and bar which is a lovely place to unwind and socialise with fellow guests after a day on the slopes. Free WiFi internet is available in common areas and rooms. Assistance is available 24-hours with the reception onsite. Pay-per-use washing machines are available onsite.

Always Niseko
Location

Setting / Atmosphere

Always Niseko is located just 1km from the centre of Hirafu and the Ace Family Lift, in the Kabayama area. There are lots of gorgeous wood log houses and Japanese pensions in the area, as well as a few little hidden cafes and izakayas, but mostly it is away from the noise and bustle of Hirafu.

Lifts / Transport

It can be walked in about 10-15 minutes, but most may prefer to catch a taxi or the free hotel shuttle – especially if you have kids and/or your in boots with all your gear. The Always Niseko crew runs regular shuttles to and from the lifts to get you there and back.

Restaurants / Bars

There are a couple of small restaurants and cafes within five minutes or so walk. Gentem Snowboards has a small cafe just across the road, Green Saso sells delicious green tea, and La Villa Lupicia is a five minute stroll away from Hirafu. Or head into Hirafu for your choice of all the restaurants and bars and several onsen.

It was my first time in niseko and I had starting looking ard accommodations a little late when I chanced upon always niseko. It was good value for money given the close proximity to the slopes. Although not exactly at the hirafu slopes, it was still within walking distance if you do not wish to wait for the shuttle. The hotel staff were v nice and accommodating and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely consider staying there nx time:)

Not the closest to Hirafu lifts but the half hourly free shuttle from the resort is amazing, otherwise 10 mins walk.
Great spacious rooms, nice big bathroom, good bed.
It’s cheaper than the closer hotels and suited us perfectly, the included breakfast was very good.
They drove us to Kutchan station for cheaper than a taxi.
    Would highly recommend.

Wow, this place exceeded my expectations. Rooms were bright and modern, comfortable and cosy. There was lots of storage area on the shelves to put your ski stuff. Beds were warm and perfect after long days on the slope. Television had Netflix for you to chill in. Elements had decent food and great drinks. Breakfast was the same daily, but was rather filling and had plenty of options. And most importantly, the shuttle was perfectly on time and we were always a stone throw away from where we wanted to go. Staff would even prepare an extra shuttle if the bus was full. They also had rental skis for beginners. If you’re an intermediate to advanced boarder or skier, get your skis from somewhere else.

Housekeeping could have been better. I wished they restocked toiletries daily (ie toothbrush, shavers) and bed linens every two days. But overall, great stay. Staff was fantastic too. We made friends with several of them, and they provided great recommendations. Highly recommend and will be back again.

My sister and I stayed here for a week of snowboarding. The hotel is new and our room was big by Japanese standards. We stayed on the ground floor, which was noisy at times with people and doors and banging, but we had a pleasant stay nonetheless. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back!
