Yukisawa House Outdoor Area with Snow | Lower Hirafu

To complement its name, “snowy valley”,  Yukisawa House’s comfortable, predominantly Western-style décor is given a subtle Japanese twist with calligraphy artwork framed on the walls. Spacious proportions and deluxe furnishings give the chalet a relaxed and cosy feel right on arrival.

Yukisawa House offers its guests a relaxing retreat away from the snowy outdoor environment with ducted central heating throughout and for those driving, a maintenance-free heated driveway with access to a garage. The chalet also allows guests a snug ambience to enjoy evenings in with a large LCD TV, Apple TV, DVD player and of course, fast and reliable WiFi to entertain you.

The fully equipped galley-style kitchen, with bench dining options, flows to an open-plan dining and living area which also has a reading and study nook. Wide picture windows welcome in the outside scenery. A separate laundry is located on this level for guests’ convenience. A key feature of the chalet is the balcony, with access from the living area, with views of Mt Yotei and the ski hill.

Yukisawa House
Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

Yukisawa is located in Lower Hirafu Village. This is a relaxed setting away from the noise, surrounded by other chalets and condos. At the same time, it’s also just a short walk to all the excitement in the heart of the village.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

Yukisawa House is approximately 12 minutes’ walk to the Ace Family lift, but with a free shuttle stop close by, you can easily hop on a bus instead of schlepping your gear around town. And with a snow-free driveway leading to an undercover garage, you can also rent your own car provided you have an international licence.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

Lower  Hirafu Village hides some of the cosiest izakaya pubs in the area. There are three great options within a 200-metre radius, namely izakaya Koharuya, Ebisutei and Nagomi. For more options, it’s also just a short jaunt to reach the dining hub in Middle Hirafu.

We stayed at Yukisawa house in March 2019. It’s a cosy chalet with heated flooring and luxury furnishings in Hirafu village.
We loved the daily private car up to the slopes. And the traditional onsen a couple of doors down.
We’ve stayed in quite a few spots and this is our favourite ski house so far. Thanks for a great stay!

Everything about this place is amazing! It really felt like a home away from home. It was comfortable, casual and relaxing. I went with a group of 6 friends, but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to families with children also. There would certainly be enough space!

You can see the snow topped mountains from the windows. The rooms are large, clean, heated and in a modern minimalist style. The bathrooms are clean and in a Japanese style. By the hallway there is a ski gear storage room and next to this a heated drying room. Being able to slip into warm dry ski boots each morning made a massive difference. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need for a cozy meal in.

The location is excellent! It’s in Hirafu Village and is an easy walk to the ski fields. An onsen is available less then 100m up the road (highly recommended after a day of heavy skiing). Here you can grab a beer from one of the vending machines and enjoy watching the snow fall from your hot pool.

Couldn’t ask for more. Loved it. I will be back!
