Description

Jindabyne Lodge Niseko is a large and cheerful chalet that typifies the multicultural personality of Niseko – the perfect amalgam of Western comfort and Japanese charm. Set in a sleepy little corner of the Hirafu Village area, this chalet will create many memories inside and out.

Jindabyne Lodge takes its name from the town that is the gateway to the ski fields of Australia’s Alpine region – and of course you may have heard Niseko is a favourite destination with Australian skiers. But apart from its name, there is little to remind Aussies of their home country.

It was built by its original Japanese owners in a traditional Canadian log cabin style but combines many local features such as a Japanese-style lounge area, paper sliding doors and traditional artwork. Guests can sleep in cosy futon beds on traditional tatami (straw mat) floors in one of the bedrooms. In the Japanese lounge area guests can enjoy cable TV or log onto the internet sitting on zabuton floor cushions.
