Izumikyo Rental Cottages offer a range of new and old cabins and cottages in Izumikyo 2 – a quiet subsection of Hirafu. Izumikyo isn’t right in Hirafu Village, but if you’re looking for peace, quiet and price savings, and don’t mind not being within walking distance to lifts and all village amenities, these lodges are a very good option.

They are well equipped for self-catering and the local Japanese staff are extremely helpful to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All the accommodations are self-contained and have kitchens with a refrigerator, microwave oven and a rice cooker, as well as cooking utensils and crockery. For entertainment there is a TV with DVD player.

Izumikyo Rental Cottages Location
Izumikyo Rental Cottages are located in the Izumikyo 2 area in East Hirafu Village. It’s a great location for those who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main Hirafu area. Being a little way out of the main part of the village, it’s not an easy walk up to the slopes but Izumikyo is included on the free shuttle route so you can jump on the bus and be lining up for the lifts in no time at all!
Izumikyo 2 has some fantastic restaurants and cafes on offer so you don’t have to go all the way into the main part of the village to get a great meal. One of the local favourites is the soup curry at Tsubara Tsubara, and café and bakery Graubunden also makes great fresh sandwiches and rolls for lunch. If you do want to head into the main village at night the village shuttle runs until about 8:30pm, but if you want to stay out later you might need to catch a taxi back to your accommodation. Taxis can be difficult to get a hold of so keep this in mind that there may be times when you might have to walk back home.
