Fubuki
Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

Fubuki townhouses sit on the eastern edge of Hirafu Village, on the border of the middle and lower villages. Set amongst a forest backdrop, Fubuki offers privacy, peace and quiet, while still being in a convenient spot not too far from the action including a local onsen hot spring bath.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

The closest lifts are about 10-15 minutes walk from the house, and the free village shuttle, which can take you to every lift, restaurant and amenity in the village, stops just 100m or so from the chalet. However the property rental includes free private shuttle to and from the lifts every day and around the village pending availability.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

It’ll take about 10 minutes to walk up to the upper village restaurant precincts, however there are some great options within five minutes walk. Momiji-Zaka St is a vibrant dining precinct in the Middle Village, and the lower village also has some of Hirafu’s top restaurants, including our favourite, Rin.

Family holiday with my family across 3 generations and it was this really awesome house that made our stay super enjoyable as some of us do not ski. My parents had tons of fun preparing meals in the extremely well equipped kitchen and the kids had plenty of space to play.

Stunning mountain views, luxury fit out, beautifully warm, a well equipped kitchen and very efficient drying room made our 8 night stay at Fubuki 3 the perfect ski holiday home away from home.

We’d skied in many spots around the world and stayed in many chalets but have never had accommodation like Fubuki 3.,……it was glorious.
I cannot recommend Fubuki 3 highly enough!

We stayed in Fubuki 1 & 2 for eight nights from late Dec 2019 – early Jan 2020. We were very happy with the property and Powderlife and would highly recommend the property and the management company.
We were in Fubuki 2 for 1 night then moved to Fubuki 1 as the dates we wanted bridged other bookings already made. The transition was smooth, however we had to move the luggage ourselves in the end as we missed the appointment time. With other management companies they made the move for us during the day without us having to be present, but given the properties are next to each other there was no drama in the end.
Powderlife were helpful throughout, however they have centralised booking into their Bali location so there was a slight lack of on the ground information and support. Compared with other management companies, we were not offered discounts on lift passes or equipment rental initially, however with intervention from the CEO (very much appreciated!), they were happy to rebook and pass on the discounts that became available. This is slightly different to other management companies that proactively offered early bird booking discounts in previous years. Otherwise, the bookings all went smoothly and it was very convenient to have lift passes left for us in the property.
The location of the property is in middle Hirafu and convenient to walk to the main street shops, and to walk down from the slopes at the end of the day. We did not use the shuttle service as we rented our own car (but did not get use of the garage in Fubuki 1). Being on a major thoroughfare though, we were inevitably woken at 5am by the snow clearing operation, but that is par for the course in Hirafu. The property itself was well appointed and the interior design, which seemed a bit inconvenient at first with the stairwell used as a divider for the living space, actually worked pretty well. We like to entertain and had plenty of friends and family over who were staying in other properties throughout Hirafu. The sunken lounge with it’s gas-powered fireplace and the big screen with Netflix was a major boon for the kids. Adults sat around the dining table or stood around the kitchen island, while the kids ran up and down the stairs. There is not much spare land and no balconies around the townhouses so there wasn’t really a safe outdoor space for the kids to play in the snow. Heating, water, bathroom and kitchen all worked well and the build quality was concrete and Japanese so very good. My only complaint would be the bathrooms lack counter space and have just stand alone sinks with a small ledge, and there is a lack of hooks so inevitably everything ends up piled on the floor.

Located in the Hirafu ski village in Niseko, three Fubuki chalets sit side by side, cutting an angular shape against their snowy backdrop. Upon arrival, we assumed we were checking into yet another exceedingly modern and impossibly sleek Niseko chalet. But as we were about to discover, Fubuki offers a world of warm comfort hidden beneath a concrete exterior. Fubuki sits on the border between Hirafu’s middle and lower village. We clocked our walk from Fubuki over to the Hirafu Gondola at about 10 minutes, though Fubuki’s free shuttle service made hitting the slopes that much easier. The shuttle service to Hanazono also stops just around the corner from Fubuki, so exploring the larger Niseko area is also made easy.

    Love it!

We stayed in Fubuki 3 with two families of five in January and loved every minute. Lovely setting, great location, an easy walk to all the main dining spots and onsen, beautiful views from living area and bedrooms, quality fit out, impossible to fault.

The village is great too and of course the skiing, but its even better when staying in such a beautiful, comfortable, well located apartment

    Highly recommended!

We were 3 families staying at Fubuki 3 for a week. House was very nicely appointed with all amenities catered for. The house had more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us, and it was cosy with heated floors. Laundry was a piece of cake as there are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. Wifi and apple TV included. Everyone had a fabulous time!

The most amazing part is the hospitality that the owner Pippa showed us. She is extremely responsive on email and is brimming full of fantastic advice on everything you would ever need to know about Niseko. She even helped us arrange and purchase all our transfers, recommended restaurants and even babysitters! Her hospitality is truly top-notched!!!

The icing on the cake is that the house provides one free daily car transfer to and from the slopes. This was incredibly useful as we had a lot of small children, so we always got the kids to and from the slopes easily! The house is located very close to village center, so it was very easy to walk everywhere. The shuttle bus also stops right near the house, so you can get to hanazono conveniently.

All in all, I highly recommend Fubuki 3 to anyone who is headed to Niseko!
