Ebina Chalet and Lodge is an epic old onsen chalet/hotel on the outskirts of Niseko that can be rented wholly as a chalet or singular lodge/hotel rooms.

Ebina Chalet and Lodge is an epic old chalet-hotel – recently sold and refurbished – in the forested, onsen hot spring-covered landscape on the outskirts of Niseko. The huge premises can be rented wholly as a chalet and sleep 21 people, or singular lodge/hotel rooms can be rented if the entire chalet isn’t booked out. It’s a big peaceful old building in a beautiful location, and it even comes with its own onsen hot spring baths inside.

Ebina is located in a private location near the resorts of Annupuri (part of the Niseko United ski resorts) and Moiwa, which is another resort on a small mountain alongside. The two resorts offer excellent beginner and intermediate skiing, and some of the best back country and slack country powder skiing in Niseko. The two resorts can actually be skied between.

Ebina started life as a luxurious private retreat for a wealthy Japanese family in 1980s. It went on to become a boutique hotel before becoming a private residence once more. Because of its opulent background it enjoys hotel-style space in the lobby, ceiling heights and corridors. It also has its own onsen hot spring bath, ski storage room, drying room and games room.

Morning drop off and afternoon pick up service to and from either Moiwa or Annupuri resorts is included in the cost of the stay, as is evening drop off to Annupuri restaurants. The lodge managers live onsite and can help you with any ski hire or ski school requirements, activity booking, as well as restaurant and taxi bookings or airport transfers.

Ebina Chalet and Lodge Accommodation

Ebina Chalet and Lodge can be rented as either a 5-bedroom chalet sleeping up to 21 people, or as a lodge where individual groups can book a room or multiple rooms. There is a variety of room and sleeping configurations to suit your group and preferences. All rooms come with free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. Note – rooms do not have TVs, but there is a TV with satellite channels in a common TV room.

2/3-person Japanese Tatami (woven straw mat floor) Room with ensuite toilet.

4/6-person Japanese Tatami Suite with ensuite toilet.

2/4-person Western Deluxe Suite (two beds/two futons if required for 4) with living room and full ensuite bathroom.

2/3-person Western Superior Room (two beds/one futon) with ensuite toilet.

4/5-person Western/Japanese Tatami Suite (two beds/three futons) with full ensuite bathroom.

Ebina Chalet and Lodge Location

Ebina Chalet and Lodge is located in the quiet rural hot spring resort area of Niseko in between the Niseko resort of Annupuri, and the neighbouring resort of Moiwa.

It’s a quiet area that hasn’t been overly developed, but there are a number of very, very good restaurants in the area – including several that received recommendation by Michelin Guides.

It’s about 30 minutes drive into the bright lights of Hirafu if you want get amongst the tourist action, or try the restaurants and bars there. During the day you can ski from Annupuri to Hirafu quite easily if you’re an intermediate or above skier or snowboarder.
