True to its name, the “Boheme” (think bohemian) eschews traditional “box house” aesthetics and treads its own eclectic path. Architects designing Boheme had their heart set on the beauty of Mt Yotei, choosing to align the entire building to take advantage of sweeping views from the top floor. They took inspiration from traditional log cabins, mixed it with a sprinkling of the functional and austere beauty of Japanese authetics and brought to life something uniquely stylish, modern and expressive.
The house has three floors, with a covered garage, ski storage, laundry room and one bedroom on the ground floor. Thee of four bedrooms are on the second level, with a luxurious master suite taking up a third of the space with a jacuzzi spa bath en suite. The third level is all about living space with an expansive kitchen, dining and living area showcasing views of Mt Yotei and forests on all four sides.
There are fine stone and rough wood finishes througout the building, most noticeably in the kitchen where the entire wall has this rich wood textured finish. It’s a full-feature kitchen too, with dishwasher, oven and all the appliances and utensils you could need stocked away. There is wifi throughout, cable TV, a fireplace sharing space with television in the cozy lounge space and management provides a daily shuttle to get you to the mountain – if, that is, you ever want to leave.

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Boheme is located in an exclusive valley of multi-million dollar chalets just off the edge of Lower Hirafu Village. A rare gem in the heart of the Hirafu hustle and bustle, but still quiet in its own secluded neighbourhood. A lesuirely 5–10 minute stroll and you’ll find yourself at the popular bars and restaurants of Hirafu.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
The lifts are a good 15 minute walk uphill towards the center of Hirafu Village, but this will not be an issue for you as the management provides a daily dedicated shuttle service to and from the slopes for Boheme guests. There is also a shuttle stop in Lower Hirafu Village, about two minutes up the road from the property.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Boheme is well located if you want to be away from the noise and revelry of Hirafu Village, while still within easy walking distance of all the fun. Exit the Escarpment and famous Gyu+ bar (the fridge door bar) is just around the corner, as are Ebisutei and Nagomi izakayas (great spots for Japanese pub fare).
