Bliss Cottage Sakura Living and Dining Area with TV | East Hirafu

Bliss Cottage Sakura is located in the quiet village area of Izumikyo II in East Hirafu, which sets it up as an ideal backdrop to a memorable holiday or small group trip. It is right next door to bed & breakfast apartment Bliss Lodging, meaning larger groups can easily be accommodated between the two.

Large windows make the whole cottage bright and cheerful, and bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor allowing for the appreciation of Hokkaido’s stunning natural landscape and bright white powder snow coverage throughout winter. Although it is not an extensive property, its spacious rooms provide the perfect ambience for any evening or lazy afternoon spent relaxing in the atmosphere of this cosy property.

Downstairs is furnished with a living room, kitchen and bathroom, while bedrooms are upstairs. One bedroom is furnished with two Western-style single beds in a twin configuration, while the other has two traditional futon mattresses that will be laid out directly onto a woven bamboo mat floor, offering a fun and authentic cultural experience that especially kids will love.

Bliss Cottage Sakura Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

Bliss Cottage Sakura is located in Niseko Izumikyo, a small residential village area just outside the hustle and bustle of Hirafu’s centre. This area, which is popular with locals and winter workers from around the world, is wonderfully quiet yet well connected by the village shuttles.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

A twenty minute uphill walk to the ski slopes is certainly the perfect way to warm up for an energetic day of skiing, however if you want to save your legs for the mountain, then the Niseko free shuttle bus stops conveniently right outside Bliss Lodging, and drops guests off right outside the gondola or any other lift in Hirafu.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

While you would barely know it driving through, there are plenty of dining gems hidden away in this part of the village – Italian restaurants Bion and L’Ocanda, Tsubara Tsubara, Soba Ichimura and Ginrei Udon to name a few. There are no bars down here, but for that and a world of other dining options, jump on the free village shuttle.

We had a fantastic experience at the Cottage. It was a really comfortable chalet with nice comfy bedrooms. To be able to cook was a great option. The chalet is on the village bus route to the ski fields and down (takes about 10 min), with service every 20 mins. There’s a convenience store about 5 mins walk away. The landlord was fantastic – great help. They organised an Okonomiyaki night for everyone – fantastic.
Would stay here again if we come back to ski Niseko again
