Udelka is a spacious, modern three-storey chalet tucked away in a quiet spot amongst all the action of central Hirafu, comprising one 4-bedroom apartment and a huge two-storey 1-bedroom apartment. No expense has been spared decking out this property with all the modern luxuries you’d expect in a high-end ski chalet, including unique local artwork.
Just a few steps from the front door and you’re on the main street and within a short stroll to a handful of great bars and dozens of restaurants. The views from the building are incredible, up to the ski hill at night and out to the majestic site of Mt Yotei during the day.
While Udelka is located in après entertainment central, the place is set up for the serious skier. Off the ground floor entrance of both apartments are large ski locker and drying rooms – dump the skis, hang your gear and leave it till the next morning ready for another day on the mountain. These rooms also double as the laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer.
Udelka sleeps up to 10 people in the four-bedroom apartment, and up to four people in the one bedroom.
In the 4-bedroom: two bedrooms have the option of a double or two singles, one bedroom has a double only, and the fourth bedroom has two double bunks, sleeping four people. The rooms aren’t huge, but hey, you’re not going to be spending much time in them anyway!
The open plan living areas features large comfortable couches, a gas fireplace in the 4-bedroom apartment, and polished wooden floors. A 42-inch TV with satellite/cable channels, DVD player and internet access included ensures your entertainment options are covered.
The kitchens do not disappoint, especially in the 4-bedroom apartment, finished with stone bench tops and European appliances including dishwasher, ovens, big double door fridge and wine fridge.
Udelka is located just 50m from the central crossroads of the village and the main convenience store – essentially the heart of the village. From here it’s also just a couple of hundred metres walk to the Ace Family Lift, from where you can catch lifts further up the mountain. Or if you’re really keen to get first tracks down the main upper runs, walk 1km up to the Ace Quad lift, or catch one of the early free shuttle buses up there or to the high speed gondola.
If you’re here to experience the nightlife and entertainment as well as the skiing, Udelka is a great base to do it from. You’d need to stay at least a month to try all the wining and dining options within five minutes walk!
