Suiboku refers to the palette of greys in traditional Japanese ink, which can be found throughout the apartments. Along the walls of the living areas are deep, ceiling-high shelves adorned with various traditional and contemporary sculptures, vases and unique books.

Within the living areas, fixed concrete kitchen/dining tables step into sunken lounges, surrounded by daybeds dressed with faux fur throw rugs and pillows. The setting is completed by framed views of a snow-covered Mt Yotei – the same view enjoyed by the 2m x 2m Japanese ofuro-style baths in the penthouse. It’s quite simply a stunning set up (read more about the developers here).

The apartments are complemented with gas fireplaces, books, magazines, games including Jenga, Scrabble, Monopoly and chess, customised house CDs, DVDs, iPod, wired broadband. The kitchens meet the dining areas with the long, central concrete dining tables. They include top-of-the-range appliances such as Nespresso coffee machines, Gaggenau ovens, and Meile dishwashers.

Suiboku
Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

Suiboku is located halfway up Hirafu-Zaka Street – the main street of Niseko which leads up to the base of the ski runs and down to the central crossroads marking the centre of town. Suiboku is about as central as the centre of Hirafu gets. It’s not exactly a quiet corner of town, so if you’re looking for seclusion, maybe look somewhere else. If you’re looking to float above the heart of the action, this is it.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

A short walk down behind the building which might take two or three minutes will have you straight onto the Ace Family Run, with the high-speed Ace Family Quad servicing it. Intermediate and advanced skiers can use this lift to make their way higher up the mountain. Or another option is to walk straight from Suiboku to the main lift five minutes up the hill, or 30 seconds by shuttle bus.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

At a quick guess, there are probably 50 fantastic restaurants and bars within five minutes walk from Suiboku. Best of all, one of Niseko’s most popular restaurants A-Bu-Cha 2 is the ground floor tenant! If you want to eat here, be sure to book ahead. Michelin-star Kamimura is a flat 200m away – a finer dining experience we highly recommend which you can book three months in advance here.

Amazing Apartment with great views. Location is amazing and you can walk to pretty much everything. I would highly recommend Suiboku. I would also recommend to make dinner reservations as far in advance as possible as many places get booked up.
