SHIRAKABA

By 20th January 2014August 4th, 2022Niseko Accommodation

Shirakaba are 2 and 3-bedroom townhouses, offering comfortable accommodation.

Shirakaba are a group of three townhouses located in Lower Hirafu Village. The 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom configurations will sleep five to seven guests, making them perfect for smaller to medium-sized groups and families.

Shirakaba, translated to English, means “white birch”, which is a type of tree that can be found all throughout Hirafu. The houses themselves are tucked away, surrounded shirakaba trees and ensuring high levels of privacy and comfort.

The townhouses are modern and spacious, and are fitted with designer furnishings and interiors incorporating the best of contemporary Western and Japanese design. Each of the townhouses features an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, complete with well equipped kitchen, and plenty of entertainment options in the lounge area including LCD TV with English-language satellite channels, DVD player, CD player and wireless internet connection throughout.

The centrally heated houses also offer full laundry facilities including washing machine and clothes dryer, as well as a private ski and snowboard storage area and a drying room.

Shirakaba Accommodation

Shirakaba townhouses are a set of three 3-bedroom townhouses that will each sleep up to seven guests. For smaller groups one of the bedrooms can be locked off, turning it into a two-bedroom house that will sleep up to five guests. Each townhouse has two bathrooms.

The kitchens are fully equipped with Western appliances, including microwave and dishwasher, so are great for those who like the option of self-catering.

Shirakaba Location

Shirakaba townhouses are located in a quiet part of the lower village, but not too far removed from the activity in the upper village. The closest ski lift, the Ace Family Pair, is probably a 15-20 minute uphill walk, however just a couple of minutes from the apartments is a stopping point for the free village shuttle that can whisk you up the hill in a matter of minutes. This is also ideal if you want to go to the Ace Quad lift or Hirafu Gondola.

There are some great restaurants and bars all within a short walk of the townhouses – some of Hirafu’s best restaurants and bars are in the lower village so you won’t have far to venture for a great meal or a few après drinks!

Also found in the lower village is Yukoro Onsen – a popular natural hot spring bath. The onsen water has a high mineral content and that, combined with the hot water, works wonders on tired, aching legs after a long day on the slopes. If you’re lucky enough to go while it’s snowing, a soak in the outdoor tub is a magical experience not to be missed!
