Hangetsu is a block of 1 and 2-bedroom apartments located in Hirafu’s lower village. Being just out of the main part of the village they offer peace and quiet without sacrificing convenience. The apartments are ideal for smaller families or groups of friends.

Hangetsu takes its name from the picturesque nearby Hangetsu (Half Moon) Lake – a crescent moon shaped caldera lake which offers a great snow-shoeing experience in winter, and a popular walking/swimming trip in the summer months.

The apartments offer guests a range of services and amenities designed to provide comfort and convenience. The apartments boast spacious open plan layouts and large windows which frame expansive views of the surrounding winter snowscape.

Lounge areas offer LCD TVs that are connected to satellite, meaning you can access English-language movies, news, documentaries and more. They also have DVD and CD players as well as internet connection.

Hangetsu Accommodation

Hangetsu’s one-bedroom apartments have two beds and open to a balcony while the two-bedroom apartments have four beds. Bathrooms are fitted with bidets.

The modern Western-style kitchens are equipped with microwave, dishwasher and a coffee/tea maker. There are also full laundry facilities including a washing machine and dryer.

Hangetsu Location

Hangetsu is located in the lower part of Hirafu village, offering a quieter locale without sacrificing the convenience of village living. The Ace Family Pair lift is about a 10-minute walk away, however the closest village shuttle stop is just a few minutes from the apartments.

As well as all the delicious dining opportunities in the upper village, the lower village has many great eateries and bars as well. Korean restaurant Manpuku Tei is right next door, and other options within walking distance are Yo, Rin, TK Niseko and Ebisutei, just to name a few.

Another great local offering is Yukoro Onsen. An onsen is a natural geothermal spring bath, and due to Niseko’s volcanic geography there are a few around, including several within Hirafu village. Yukoro is one of the most popular, and it’s not hard to see why. With separate bathing areas for men and women, each area has both an indoor and outdoor bath. The outdoor bath is particularly enjoyable, surrounded by large boulders and mountains of snow, it’s the perfect setting to relax and rejuvenate those aching muscles after a long day on the slopes. It’s particularly special when it snows – there’s something refreshing about fresh snowflakes falling on your head and shoulders while you sit in a steaming hot bath. A visit to Yukoro is definitely a Niseko experience not easily forgotten!
