Hangetsu is a block of 1 and 2-bedroom apartments located in Hirafu’s lower village. Being just out of the main part of the village they offer peace and quiet without sacrificing convenience. Hangetsu takes its name from the picturesque nearby Hangetsu (Half Moon) Lake – a crescent moon shaped caldera lake which offers a great snow-shoeing experience in winter, and a popular walking/swimming trip in the summer months.
The apartments are ideal for smaller families or groups of friends. Despite the modest size, the one bedroom apartments offer a full-size kitchen with a host of appliances and utensils, as well as their own washer and dryer cleverly hidden in a hallway cupboard. In short, everything a couple or small family could need for an extended stay. The two-bedroom version also hosts the same utilities with a larger and more spacious living area and an additional dining table. Lounge areas offer LCD TVs that are connected to satellite, meaning you can access English-language movies, news, documentaries and more. They also have DVD and CD players as well as internet connection. The location is fantastic for exploring Niseko both on and off the slopes: not too close to be in the hectic, noisy main streets, but plenty close to access everything you need.
Best of all, property management will get you to and from the property on your arrival, as well as to the slopes each morning.

Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Hangetsu apartments are located in Lower Hirafu, Niseko: a quieter, mostly residential part of Hirafu Village. There is plenty to discover with a few bars and restaurants hidden away amongst the chalets. Property management offers a ski shuttle in the mornings, and the property offers on-street parking if you choose to bring your own car.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
It’s a 12-minute walk uphill to the ski lift if you don’t want to take the shuttle. Helpfully, Hangetsu’s management offers a ski shuttle to get you to the lifts in the morning. A free village shuttle also circulates the streets of Lower Hirafu, that can quickly fill up in the mornings but might save you a big uphill walk in the evenings.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Lower Hirafu is a great place for wining and dining: Ebisutei, Koharuya and Yo Izakaya are all a stone’s throw away, as are bars such as Powder Room, Bar Gyu+ and Bar Moon, favourite options for a night out for a range of styles and budgets. Lower Hirafu’s izakayas can be much easier to get into than the restaurants uphill, but be sure to book beforehand.
