Genji & Musashi are two high-quality ski chalets situated in the exclusive Izumikyo 1 area of Hirafu. The two, three-level chalets built battle-axe style on adjacent blocks can each sleep eight to 10 people and can be rented together for a larger group of up to 18.
The Izumikyo 1 area is much quieter and more peaceful than the busy main Hirafu Village, not spoilt by noisy revellers or high-rise buildings. Not far from the main village, it gives you the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenic surrounds without sacrificing location or convenience. The full concrete construction also provides excellent soundproofing for extra peace and quiet.
The properties feature all the mod-cons that you could need to make the most of your stay in Niseko, including full-size kitchen, laundry facilities and a ski drying and storage room. The high-defininition TV also has satellite with English-language channels, and comes with a DVD player and a surround-sound entertainment system. There’s also high-speed internet access with wireless as well as plug-in points on all levels of the house. For those with a car, there is a heated driveway and garage.
Genji & Musashi Accommodation
Genji & Musashi both have three bedrooms each, with an additional tatami (traditional Japanese woven straw mat) room which can sleep two children or one adult. The master bedrooms have king-split beds and an ensuite, with the other two rooms have queen-split beds and a shared bathroom. Genji has an additional studio with split-king bed, ensuite, kitchenette plus DVD and stereo. The studio can be rented separately on request.
The spacious upper-levels feature high, vaulted ceilings and open-plan living and dining areas. The kitchens are fully-equipped and have Miele appliances.
Both houses offer stunning views of Mt Yotei and the Hirafu ski hill, as well as the surrounding mountains and forests.
Genji & Musashi Location
Genji & Musashi are located in Izumikyo 1, which is an eight-minute walk from the main part of Hirafu – closer than many of the properties in Lower Hirafu Village. They sit only a few hundred metres below the Hirafu Gondola station and ski-in access is possible from the Gondola when you’re done for the day. The village shuttle stop is only a couple of minutes walk from the front door if you want to visit some of the other lifts. The properties also come with a free shuttle service.
Due to the close proximity to the main village you’ll have easy access to all of the fantastic restaurants and bars in Hirafu either by foot or shuttle. There are also several great restaurants within the Izumikyo area itself if you don’t feel like venturing right into the main village.
