Cisco Moon Lodge is an older original Niseko pension which was beautifully refurbished in 2012, transforming into a contemporary mountain lodge. It’s designed in a classic modern Hokkaido architectural style featuring a peaked roof to shed snow. The lodge has eight bedrooms and can sleep up to 16 guests in style and comfort. The self-contained apartment is in the sub-basement with a separate entrance. It has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four people, with modern kitchenette and bathroom.

Cisco Moon Lodge is located in Lower Hirafu Village with a bus stop literally on the doorstep – the shuttles stop in the lodge carpark! The shuttle makes getting around the village a breeze day and night. However, there is also space for car parking if you wish to hire a car to get out and see more of the area (just make sure you have a valid international license).

There is a large open-plan living area on the ground floor with modern kitchen, a fireplace, huge flat-screen TV with Apple TV and Netflix, along with other mod cons. There is free wifi throughout the lodge, laundry with washer and dryer, and a ski locker and drying room.

The accommodations here at the Cisco Moon were great. My family and I have enjoyed our past two yearly ski trips to Niseko and after long hours of skiing, returning to the Cisco Moon was most relaxing. Beautifully renovated with large living spaces. A wonderful outdoor space where the kids can enjoy the mini slope all the while watching them from the living room.
