Unlike much of the newly built accommodation in Niseko which has been developed by foreigners and influenced by North American and European ski accommodation, Big Valley has an authentic Japanese architectural feel – these houses wouldn’t be out of place in Tokyo or Sapporo. Fashioned along modern Japanese lines, the three-storey townhouses combine high-end design with Japanese accents.

The three Big Valley condos prioritise chic comfort with abundant lounge seating, generously scattered with cushions in dedicated living and media areas, a gas fireplace in stone surrounds and walls brought to life with art works. Traditional Japanese shoji -style paper screen doors and genkan entrance lobby remind visitors of their cultural location.

The stylish ground floor kitchen will suit enthusiastic cooks with its modern appliances and sleek appearance. An island bench, which could double as work and eating space, separates cooking from dining and living spaces. As the name suggests, Big Valley guests are treated to expansive views of Niseko’s world famous powder across the tree-covered valley on which it perches. Wide-frame windows and doors ensure unhindered views of the snowscape from living and sleeping areas.

Big Valley
Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

Located on the edge of Lower Hirafu Village, Big Valley gives you the best of both worlds: peaceful lifestyle and uninterrupted snow views, but easy proximity to the many delights of Niseko.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

The condominiums are about a 10-minute mild uphill walk to the Ace family lifts, but with a shuttle stop only 10 metres away, hitting the slopes without delay isn’t an issue. With a dedicated garage available for each unit, those who decide to hire a car can do so – just make sure you have your international driving license in order.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

Big Valley is well positioned for those all-important pursuits of eating, drinking and merry making. Popular izakaya restaurants like Rin and Ebisu-tei are close by, as is the iconic Gyu+ (Fridge Door) Bar. For those nights you prefer to dine in, the Seicomart convenience store is about a 10-minute walk away.
