Foxwood E is designed to withstand the long winters and make the most of each of the four seasons of Niseko. Warm wood finishes create different effects with textured patterns of wood in the walls, ceiling and furniture in each room. Unique designer furniture and decor will make for some beautiful Instagram memories.
The chalet is split over two storeys: the ground floor with utilities, bedrooms and an undercover garage, and the second floor with expansive open-plan living/dining space as well as a master bedroom and bathroom with feature Japanese bath. This living space makes the most of views and natural sunlight with a slanted corner roof, and Mt Yotei clearly visible through the living room windows.
There is a full kitchen with all appliances and utensils needed to cook extensively on-site, complete with an extra detached counter and breakfast bar. There is high-speed WiFi, flat-screen TV and Apple TV for those nights you prefer to stay at home. For added comfort, all three bedrooms come with their own en-suite bathrooms.

The master bedroom is located on the second level, and sleeps two guests in a king-sized bed. There is plenty of closet space and floor space in this room, and windows showcasing beautiful views, but the highlight is the en-suite bathroom. In a unique triangular shape, there is a rain shower and a separate feature bathtub with fragrant Japanese Hinoki wood – and panoramic windows to let you enjoy the views as you soak.

The second bedroom is located on the ground floor, and sleeps two guests in either one king double or two twin beds. There is a mix of polished hardwood and stone for flooring, connecting each room to the styling in the hallways. Ample closet space and some floor space creates a roomy space for two guests, and a private en-suite bathroom features shower, toilet and washstand.

The third bedroom is also located on the ground floor, across the hallway from the entrance and undercover garage. Two guests can sleep in either one king double or two single beds, with a bedside table to share between them. There is plenty of closet storage space. This room is a little bit smaller than bedroom 2, but still well-proportioned. A bathroom next door has two washstands and a shower.

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Foxwood E is located in Higashiyama, close to Niseko Village ski slopes and a small village with some cozy options for dining and nightlife. It is a peaceful village with plenty of forests and snow-covered fields to enjoy, away from the rush, bustle and high rises of Hirafu but still only a short drive away.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
By foot the lifts are about 15 minutes away, but that’s no issue as the property management provides a drive service to and from the slopes each day to save your group the travel. If you’d like to get out and about beyond the ski hill, both the Niseko United Shuttle and Niseko Village free bus service regularly travel past the chalet and stop nearby at Milk Kobo.
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Foxwood E is located halfway up the village of Higashiyama. There are a few local dining options, among them the famous Milk Kobo dairy, cake and ice cream store. The House of Machines and the Mexican Mule are bringing a touch of nightlife. Or if you prefer the convenience and comfort of everything in one place, try the nearby Hilton’s wide selection of dining and nightlife options.

We stayed at Foxwood E a few years ago and I recently revisited the property – incredibly, it still looks brand new, inside and out! I love the angles of the chalet and the bathtub – this is not your standard boxy chalet :)

I had the opportunity to explore Foxwood Chalets recently. The wooden ceiling and floor contribute to the chalet’s elegant and tranquil ambiance. Additionally, the Japanese bath, strategically placed by a window, allows for a serene snow view experience. The large glass windows facing Mount Yotei from the living area provide an incredible and captivating panorama.

Amazing property – the photos are very accurate. Kitchen area is great – has a nespresso coffee machine but we couldn’t find anywhere to buy pods, but easy to prepare your family meals here. The lounge-living area looks great but the chairs are not that comfortable – more of a fashion statement rather than practical. The bedrooms are spacious with good storage space and the beds are super comfortable. You will need a car out here but there is several places within walking distance to eat. Overall great property, you will not be disappointed.

Every piece of designer furniture is amazing and very Scandinavian-chic. The kitchen is great! We cooked with ease and loved having loads of bench space. The beds were very comfortable and the throw rugs and variety of cushions improve the basic setting significantly. The bedrooms also felt spacious, which it fantastic. The sheer curtains in the downstairs bedrooms are a lovely feature – the take the edge off the concrete walls and add more light to the downstairs bedrooms. Storage throughout the bedrooms and utility rooms downstairs is also handy! Great Mt Yotei views and a little further out from Hirafu. I recommend hiring a car if staying here to get around easily. But great new property in Niseko.
