The Kiroro, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel Dining at Night | Kiroro

As a resort, Kiroro is quite distinct from any kind of village or town atmosphere. Nearby shops or bars are not an option for evenings, but as a result, The Kiroro offers a great selection of restaurants and buffets (11 in total) within the hotel building, ranging from traditional Japanese food to Italian style cuisine.

Other amenities and facilities are available at The Kiroro, including a gym, an indoor pool, karaoke, an indoor activity centre (games arcade and a pirate ship playground for the kids) as well as the Kiroro Hot Spring “Shinrin No Yu”. This natural hot spring bath is a fantastic way to relax and recover after an incredible day in Kiroro’s stunning powder snow and terrain, and is a must-do for anyone visiting Japan for the first time. Yukata, which are Japanese style pyjama robes, are also available.

The Kiroro is an approximate 7 minute walk away from the ski lift access area, and is not the closest accommodation option to the slopes. However, the hotel offers a regular free shuttle service every 10 – 20 minutes, connecting The Kiroro with the ski area to make for an extremely convenient daily ski routine. There’s also a shuttle bus to nearby Otaru (stopping at the train station), which is perfect for a short day trip or for onward travel to and from The Kiroro.

Kiroro Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Location

SETTING / ATMOSPHERE

The Kiroro Tribute Portfolio is a classic Japanese resort setup, with a massive hotel building and complex nestled in the middle of the wilderness. There’s no local village offering restaurants or cultural experiences, but in exchange, the hotel strives to have everything you need on-site: pool and gym, a host of dining options and shopping.

LIFTS / TRANSPORT

The hotel is around a short, 7 minute walk away from the ski lift area itself. For many, however, this distance is just that little bit too inconvenient when carrying ski equipment, so the free shuttle bus is recommended.

RESTAURANTS / BARS

Kiroro’s on-site options cover a good selection of Japanese cuisine styles, buffets and a range of budgets too. Try “Yanshu” grill for fresh seafood and local meats cooked over coals. Be sure to book your tables at reception as Kiroro Tribute Portfolio’s guests will all have the same options as you.

Buffet speard is good and tasty both Breakfast and Dinner. Wife and 5 year old daughter has a blast in the Playground at the back of the resort with slides and snow activities. 5 mins Free Bus ride to Kiroro Ski Resort. Lovely Onsen , enjoyment of hot spring with winter snow falling on head, great combination. Staff are polite and attentive.

Stayed here to ski for 3 nights wow what a place. Amazing winter wonderland, large room with balcony with stunning views of the trees and snow. The hot onsen was amazing especially the mineral one set outside to sit in a 41 degrees hot pool while snow falls was quite an experience and a great relief after 6 hours of skiing. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a huge variety and selection of foods and drinks. The dining options good although a little expensive like all ski resorts but the food was top notch. Best part of this exerience was the staff from checkin to checkout very attentive! As we couldn’t speak more than the basic Thankyou in Japanese we loved the fact that a large proportion of the staff were Indonesian from the Bandung (Java ) school of international language working as part of their degrees and as we are fairly fluent in Bahasa it was great to communicate in both English and Bahasa ! a credit to the hotel as their friendliness and desire to please is undeniable! Loved this amazing hotel!

    Better Than the Sheraton
A nice hotel that succeeds in comparison to the grand resorts at other famous ski towns in the USA or EU. Never waited more than 5 min for the 2 min ride to the lifts. Free breakfast buffet for all guests was well stocked with a “Westerner” and “Asian” side depending on your preference. Free indoor pool area was impressive.
