Located in the Wadano Area, which is Hakuba’s premier district, Aria Hotel is convenient and friendly, and offers all of the basics for any holiday with a number of great bonuses. Perhaps the best thing about this accommodation option is that it is just 150 metres from Hakuba Happo-One chairlift, which only consolidates further the excellent value for money that this ski-in / ski-out hotel has to offer. Even closer (just 30 metres away) is the mountain shuttle bus stop, which can take visitors to nearby resorts including Hakuba Goryu, Hakuba 47 and Hakuba Iwatake. What better way to make the most of your time on the ski hill.
Within Aria Hotel, guests can expect English speaking staff, a drying room with laundry facilities and shared bathrooms. The top floor boasts large windows and stunning views of Happo One ski area – and what makes these views that little bit more special is that they can be seen from the hotel’s private Onsen hot spring bath at the top of the building.
There are three types of room available within Aria Hotel, and many have beautiful mountain views. Western style rooms with two (twin) or three (triple) single beds are available, as are rooms with a private bathroom for those who do not wish to share. A more traditional, Japanese-style sleeping arrangement option is also an option here, and a Tatami room – which features futon bedding laid directly on to woven bamboo matting – can accommodate between one and four guests. Breakfast is available at Aria Hotel for an extra fee.

We stayed at the aria hotel for a week. On arrival we were picked up from the bus terminal. It was a 2min walk to the slopes, a great resturant next door and ski hire next door too.
Our bathroom was leaking which was a little annoying however the hotel was covered in snow, and i understand these things happen. Staff was amazing, she was extremely helpful with local resturants and booking taxis for us. I would one hundred percent stay here again.

Perfect, affordable & everything you need
Aria hotel is located in the Wandano area of Hakuba, right near Rhythm ski hire and in front of The Pub. This budget hotel offers a perfect location, with it being the first stop (outside rhythm) for the buses to most of the mountains & is a short 10min walk to Happo-one. While the hotel is older, the lady who runs it, Wakaiko provides everything you could possibly need for your Hakuba holiday. The Onsen is open from 4pm-10pm, breakfast is all that you need to start your day from 7-9am, they offer free arrival & departure pick up/drop off from the station/bus terminal and they are more than happy to help with anything else you need. There is a beer vending machine in the common area, free wifi and great heating. We will definitely be staying here on our next ski trip.
The only thing I will say is that the beds are a little hard, however I very politely mentioned this and we were provided with futons to put on top of the mattress as a mattress topper and we slept perfectly for the remainder of our trip. Highly recommend Aria hotel for an affordable, everything you need hotel.

Great little affordable hotel close to shuttle buses and right next door to the Rhythm Snowboard and Ski shop. Host are very affable and in that well mannered Japanese style, will try to do everything they can for you. WiFi is available in the lobby which really means you get to chat with lots of other guests if you want. Older style but plenty of room in each room. Happy to recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a laid back quieter place to stay. Male and female Onsens available on the top floor after a big day on the slopes. Younger holiday makers looking for big night outs probably should go closer to the main areas of Hakuba.
