The Mizuho Chalets are positioned in the Mizuho district, on a quiet side street just a short walk from Echoland’s bus stop. There are six chalets in total, three of them three bedroom and the others in a four bedroom layout. Each is two storeys, comprising of mostly bedrooms and dry room storage on the ground floor and an open-plan living, kitchen and dining space on the upper floor.
The look is modern yet cozy, with hardwood floors and textures bringing a touch of classic chalet living to these modern houses. Each chalet’s open plan living room opens up to the roof, with exposed wooden beams adding classic charm and a sense of space. There are plenty of windows throughout showcasing views of the village and rice fields in the neighbourhood.
Feature-wise each chalet offers a full home kitchen, dining area with table and seating for each guest, as well as an expansive living room suite with flat-screen TV. There’s also a dedicated gear storage space with washer and dryer, so setting your gear up each day is easy as pie. Both three-bedroom and four-bedroom options offer one master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, as well as additional bathrooms to share between the rest of the occupants. Each bedroom’s bedding is flexible, offering one king or two singles – with exception of the fourth bedroom, which is always a bunk room with two bunks. Each chalet is a perfect cozy getaway with an incredibly convenient address, with the best of Hakuba Valley an easy walk from your front door. Perfect!

Each four bedroom Mizuho Chalet has three bedrooms with your choice of one king or two single beds, and a fourth with two bunk beds sleeping four guests.

Location
SETTING / ATMOSPHERE
Mizuho Chalet is located in the snowy fields of Happo Village, which is a quiet area just out of the main village. Surrounded by farm crops which turn into beautiful white powder fields in winter, and views of the ski mountain, Mizuho Chalet is immersed in a winter serenity.
LIFTS / TRANSPORT
A 500m walk to the Nakiyama lifts may not be for everyone, so a schedule guest shuttle is available. The Hakuba Village shuttle can take you to the Adam Gondola (5min shuttle), or head to Iimori/Goyru Resort on the Hakuba Springs Hotel shuttle (10-15min shuttle).
RESTAURANTS / BARS
Within a leisurely 10 minute walk are onsen, bars, cafes and restaurants. Check out Yamanami Hakuba Teppanyaki (6 minute walk), Nagomi-tei for a soba lunch (10 minute walk), or relax at Baisen Coffee or Hakuba Taproom (both 7 minute walk).

Very comfortable inside with lovely living area, fully-equipped and quiet neighbourhood.

Good value, comfortable villas with either 3 or 4 rooms. All chalets have a relaxed, comfortable style and furnishings. I recommend hiring a car to get around with ease and we used Toyota in Nagano. Super easy and made it better getting around town and to lifts.

I stayed with my family and dog. I made a reservation after reading the reviews, and it’s just like that. I was able to spend a comfortable time with the simple interior and all the equipment. Especially with floor heating throughout the house, even in the shower room. This was great! The quality of the snow was excellent, and both the children and the dogs had a great time playing in front of the chalet.

It was a very beautiful vacation rental. Originally, we only had one dog, but after consulting with them in advance, we were able to accommodate multiple dogs with friends and family for an additional fee. I stayed for 2 nights in a 4-bed room, and every room had air conditioning, and the living room had floor heating (although I didn’t use it because I stayed in the summer). There were also four toilets, one with a shower only, and two baths with bathtubs, so I was able to spend a comfortable time without having to wait for a bath or toilet. The kitchen had all the daily necessities such as IH, dishwasher, simple coffee maker, rice cooker, pot, tabletop stove and pot, toaster, and microwave. When I asked the hotel staff about detergent for the dishwasher, they brought it right away. There were enough cups, plates, pots, colanders, and cutlery.
It was quite spacious and the dogs were running around. I could see ski jumps nearby, and it was within walking distance, there were restaurants nearby, and there were supermarkets and convenience stores by car, so I didn’t have any problems at all. The only thing I thought was that the bed was a little hard (although this may be a personal preference), and the single room was a little small. Other than that, they were really kind to me, and I was able to complete everything via email, and if there was anything I needed, I was able to communicate with them on LINE. I was able to spend a really comfortable vacation. thank you very much. It’s quite far away, so I can’t go there often, but if I ever go again, I’d definitely choose a vacation rental here.
