With the opening party of Splash bar this past weekend, the nightlife in Hirafu Village has kicked off for the winter season of 2011-12. In the next few days there will be more bar and restaurant openings around town. Ski shops have organized their new gear and open signs are starting to pop up all around town. Most of the businesses are aiming to be open by December 1st.
The upcoming season has much more to offer than just the great skiing – Grand Hirafu is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and organizers have planned parties and cultural events from the beginning to the end of the season.
The Niseko Grand Hirafu opening ceremony will be held this Saturday, November 26th, the new high-speed gondolas are expected to run as of December 10th, and on December 17th Niseko Grand Hirafu kicks off the official anniversary celebrations with a party.
