Did you go Early morning yesterday? You still have a chance, all three resort run Early gondola/lift today and tomorrow. Check Niseko United facebook for more detail. By the way, In Japan, people eat the seven herb rice porridge or ‘nanakusa-gayu’ on the morning of January 7th. Its original intention is to protect oneself against evils and invite good luck and longevity by eating the seven herbs that endure the cold winter. You can find packs of seven herbs at supermarket today. It will be fun to try Japanese food culture:)
