I have a great news this morning, the top lifts will finally open today!! We’ve been waiting this for long, now all 3 resorts connect at top lifts and people can move each resorts easily. There mush be so much powder today.

Today is called “Toji” in Japan. Toji or “winter solstice” is the day on which the Sun’s elevation in the sky is the lowest and it is to mark the shortest day and longest night of the year. It occurs in December in the Northern Hemisphere. It is believed in China and Japan that it is the day of rebirth because of the weakest solar power on the day. We dip in a “Yuzu citron bath” to purify ourselves to drive away evil spirits, with the Yuzu’s stron aroma. We also have a tradition of eating simmered squash and rice porridge with azuki beans, wishing for longevity.

Next snow storm is coming with Santa or after him. Have a great day!
