SPROUT, Kutchan, Yoshitaka and Yukiko Toge

YOSHITAKA and Yukiko Toge left Chiba nine years ago to move to the Niseko area. When they first arrived, Yoshitaka worked as a rafting guide in the summers, and as ski patrol for Annupuri during the winters. Yukiko worked year-round at a café in Hirafu.

In 2009 they decided it was time to begin their own business, and so they opened Sprout Outdoor Espresso. Sprout is a cosy intimate café that serves top-quality espresso roasted locally in Hokkaido. The Toges opened their café in hope of creating a welcoming space that brings outdoor people together. 

It is located half a block from the Kutchan JR station on Ekimae Street.
