SNOW CAVERN OPEN IN NISEKO VILLAGE

By 10th February 2012August 27th, 2013

“SETSUDO” or snow cavern, is the newest and biggest snow and ice creation by artist Hirohiko Takenaka. The snow art installation is open for exploration in Niseko Village, next to the Hilton, from 2pm to 7pm daily until the beginning of March.

It’s Sapporo-born Hirohiko’s seventh winter in Niseko building snow and ice creations. It took him almost two months and the help of his friends to build Setsudo, using only Niseko’s powder and the water from two hoses.
