AP LAND is already a pioneer player in the Malaysian property market and has recently started to develop Shiki in Niseko. Low says that buyers of Shiki apartments are “mainly wealthy investors and tourists from Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Malaysia.” She says that “they are interested in both summer and winter tourism”. Low is also predicting that “summer tourism is the biggest growth area for Niseko.
Government initiatives are in place and all of the natural elements are already there. It is stated in a local report by a local developer that the summer market will grow faster and become 45% as important as winter by 2015-2016.”
