By 29th June 2012September 4th, 2013

The Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry will be holding a Service Innovation Seminar in Sapporo this July.

In general, improving productivity and improving service are perceived to be contradictory in terms of cost, however it is possible to achieve both. In this seminar, presenters will discuss a system of providing effective and efficient hospitality by introducing companies that have achieved both excellent service (customer satisfaction) and productivity (employee satisfaction).

In addition to a keynote speech from Mr. Naito from AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Sciences and Technology), who has conducted a comparison and evaluation of the service industry from an engineering approach, the seminar will also include an introduction to the latest trends in service industry policies by a service policy officer from the ministry.
