Seminar: “Asia – the key to Niseko’s future”

By 16th August 2012September 4th, 2013

Niseko is an international resort which receives many overseas visitors each year. Among these, the number of visitors from Asia is especially high.
Therefore, the topic of the upcoming Renaissance Seminar series, organized by the Niseko Chamber of Commerce as part of the “Hokkaido Area Tourist Industry Vitalisation and Human Resources Development Project 2012” will be “Asia – the key to Niseko’s Future”.

In the first session, Shujo Ishimori, a leading figure in Tourism Studies, has been invited to analyze Japan’s role within Asia from the perspective of tourism and offer some thoughts on area development, as well as the cultivation of human resources following resort development.
The second session will put a clear focus on one country within Asia, namely China from the point of view of interpersonal communication. Effective communalization techniques that can facilitate encounters with China and the Chinese people will be pondered. What is the key that will open the door to Japan’s biggest neighbour? It will be a chance to hear some insightful episodes and contemplate the way Chinese people think and act.
We hope to see you all there! You are welcome to attend both or only one of the two sessions.)
