Rhythm got its Beats

By 11th December 2013March 22nd, 2021

It was lovely to wake up to fresh snow on the ground this morning, especially after a little bout of unseasonal rain yesterday! While waiting for the slopes to return to their usual snowy splendour, I decided to check out Beats, a new shop on the Hirafu Intersection, right next to Green Farm Café.

An offshoot of the wildly popular Rhythm, this nicely laid out store stocks a wide selection of outwear as well as goggles, beanies, thermals, and other mountain accessories.

Unlike its big brother up the hill, Beats has no hard goods, and instead dedicates its space to a stylish range of jackets, snow pants, and hoodies. With brands on offer that are slightly less mainstream than usual, Beats is a refreshing change when you’re hunting for the perfect gear to set yourself up for the season. Browse labels ranging from the upmarket Kjus, known for quality when it comes to fit and fabric; to the fun colour palette of Swedish brand CLWR (Colour Wear).

As you can see from the main picture, one thing Beats does have in common with Rhythm is an amazing selection of beanies (touques, wooly hats, whatever you choose to call them), which provides many hours of browsing pleasure!

The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don’t have the particular goggle lens/ neon green beanie/ 200% merino thermal you are after in stock, they probably have it in the mother ship just up the road.

Head down to Beats for a satisfying shopping experience, but keep your mitts off the purple jacket in the window- I have that on my Christmas wish list.
