No opening tomorrow, but still a ceremony

By 19th November 2010August 27th, 2013

THE lifts might not be running tomorrow, but the opening ceremony is still going ahead as planned.

This traditional ceremony will feature a Shinto priest who will pray for the safety of riders and skiers on the mountain this coming winter.

So, for anyone in town this weekend and at a loss with what to do now that the resort isn’t opening, this is a unique Japanese cultural experience worth witnessing.

The ceremony is free and starts at 10:00am in front of the Hirafu Welcome Centre.
