Enjoy food, wine and art at Hokkaido’s first food festival
Niseko Summer Fest, the first food festival celebrating the food, wine and art of Hokkaido, will be held over three days from the 22nd to the 24th of June at Hilton Niseko Village in the Niseko Mountain Resort. During the event, an art gallery will be set up in Pub Ezo on the second floor; workshops and a stall selling the works of local artists and internationally-acclaimed artist ‘Kinpro’ will be available for festival-goers to enjoy.

■Chisato Shinya (Kinpro): Sapporo’s own illustrator/ artist
Chisato’s work is influenced by the nature in her own life. She has started illustrating overseas picture books and doing some interior decorating, and is currently working both domestically and internationally on interiors, apparel, packaging, picture books, and so on. Nature is her constant inspiration, with forests and animals appearing in many of her works.
