Niseko Snow Report & Forecast January 28, 2015

Winter is back! Temperatures dropped today and snow began to fall in the afternoon. A rain crust exists at backcountry areas near Niseko, with about 10 cm of blower snow resting on top.

Light snow expected overnight and into tomorrow morning (Thursday/Jan 29) with low winds and cold temperatures hovering around -10 C throughout the day.

Conditions Observed at Black Diamond Tours weather plot (250m) at 6 am

New snow in the last 24 hours:  2 cm
Total snow at base: 175 cm
Temperature: -11°C
