No new snow has fallen in the last 12 hours. Warm and gray morning. It’s not raining yet but light rain is forecast this afternoon. It will be windy, too so it might be a good rest day today. I hope this rain will wash the all dusts away and give up clean fresh corn snow tomorrow:)

Sunshine will be back tomorrow. Have a nice day!

    Hi there,
I’ve been checking your weather updates for the last week or so and wanted your advice.
Me and my husband will be travelling from US to Japan from April 3 through 13 – mostly business in Tokyo. We do love to ski and were really hoping to take advantage of this trip to try to ski for couple of days in Niseko. We were planning to go to Niseko on the 8 or 9 of April. Do you think we will be able to get some decent snow at all? Is it worth a trip? I know that we shouldn’t expect any powder :) but really hope that it won’t be completely icy.
Would really appreciate your advice. Thanks a lot in advance
    Best regards,
    Victoria

      Hi Victoria,
Thank you for reading report and writing comment. New snow is not expected unfortunately, but now it’s lovely spring time. Spring snow is not icy, it’s slashy and called ”corn snow”. I feel like riding on powder when I ride on perfect slashy snow. You just need to check if the weather is good, otherwise mountains easily fogged out. If you can choose the sunny days, It worth it:)
      Best Regards,
      Maiko
