Much needed snowfall across the Niseko Resort Area the past two days was accompanied by high winds which closed the upper lifts today (Tuesday 18 February).
Despite the longer than normal queues at the Hirafu gondola and the Center 4 quad the snow was great with powder all over the mountain.
Anticipating the lift closures in the Niseko Resort Area a large number of groups headed to Rusutsu enjoying great powder early on.
The Kiroro gondola was closed all day and with the winds decreasing is the recommended destination for tomorrow (Wednesday 19 February).
