Niseko powder kicks into overdrive

By 18th January 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

NISEKO has once again been belted by about two metres of light, fluffy powder in less than a week, making season 09/10 so far one to remember.

Cooler temperatures and consistent snow fronts have brought with them almost non-stop falls of up to 60cm in a single night on the mountain.

What makes it even better is that several times following an epic dump, Niseko skiers and boarders have been treated to bluebird conditions and little to no wind to speak of.

Mt Annupuri is now in top shape, with a formidable mid-January snow base of about three metres at peak level, and just under two metres at the base.

The icing on the cake is that more decent falls are forecast for mid-week, with a top-up expected across the weekend.
