Niseko-native skier Ryunosuke Ohkoshi won his race in the FIS Alpine Ski!!!

A Niseko-native skier Ryunosuke Ohkoshi participated in the giant slalom race and the slalom race in the FIS Alpine Ski WM 2011 taking place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

Ryunosuke competed in the GS race as an only representative of Japan, and finished in 62nd place for the 1st run, scarcely missed the second run competed by the top 60 athletes. But in SL race on the final day, he marked 38th place for the first run and pushed up his rank to 28th in the final among the world’s top skiers. Congratulations, Ryunosuke!
