M Hotel opens in the heart of Hirafu

By 17th December 2011August 27th, 2013

A brand-new hotel with modern Western facilities has just opened on Momiji Street, in the heart of Hirafu.
After a trip to Niseko three years ago and a good look around the area, investor John Ling from Hong Kong got the idea to build M Hotel. “ Niseko has the best powder snow and is attracting thousands of skiers from around the world. I wanted to build a place in a great location in the village, where guests feel comfortable,” he says. “And our prices are more than reasonable for the market.“

M Hotel has three spacious suites 33 standard double rooms; most of them with Mt Yōtei views. Room rates start at ¥20,000 and include breakfast for 2 persons.
Guest rooms can be self-contained as every room provides a fridge and microwave and all the standard interior of a midrange hotel, including 32 inch Flat Screen TVs with cable.

A Western standard hotel would not be complete without a variety of entertainment and that’s perhaps where M Hotel really hits the mark. An amusement arcade in the basement will open in late December with about 25 to 30 machines from motor racing to dancing and gun battling to basketball. And not forgetting kiddy-rides. Non-hotel guests are welcome to play there until 10pm every night.

A large gym on the terrace with standard fitness equipment and classes are planned for the future. The reception is not manned until the evening, which means the spacious lobby has a Boutique Hotel atmosphere where guests can relax while having coffee, wine & non-alcoholic drinks with light snacks.
M Hotel is within a few minutes walking distance from the ski lifts in a very lively area of Hirafu with many bars and restaurants. Monty’s Steak house and Bar in the neighboring building are operated by the same management, which means all M hotel guests are entitled to a 10% discount for food and drinks.
