Kabayama Summer Festival

By 30th June 2010August 27th, 2013

This Saturday will see the annual Summer Festival at Niseko’s local primary school “Kabayama”.

This great little school boasts more than 100 years of history and though the student numbers are small (29 at present) community support for Kabayama is stronger than ever. The Summer Festival is always a huge local draw and you can always be sure to catch up with people you haven’t seen in ages as you wind your way through the various stalls. The cold beer is flowing freely by 10.00am and nothing goes better with a couple of sticks of Yakitori!

Live music, prize draws, super fresh local produce and flea market stalls provide a pleasant diversion but the real draw is the chance to kick back with the locals…

If you don’t have any plans this Saturday this is one annual event you shouldn’t miss!
