Jazz Bar Half Note event schedule (February)

The cozy and relaxed HALF NOTE Jazz Bar & Cafe is located downstairs in Pension FULL NOTE and is the only place in the Niseko area that features live jazz.

They have a series of live concerts schedules for February as follows. All performances start at 9pm (2 sets) unless otherwise specified.

Yutama Kondo, Feb 4 (Sat)
Young, ambitious pianist from Sapporo. Plays cool and contemporary stuff as well as traditional Jazz standards. His groovy feeling is just something else.

Kenji Furudate Trio, Feb 5 (Sun)
Kenji Furudate (Guitar and Vocal), from Sapporo, has been playing around in Sapporo area, covers variety of music such as Jazz, Bosa Nova, R&B and Soft Rock. He has been credited on many CDs including his own.

Yoshihiro Sibata Sextet, Feb 6 (Mon) and 7 (Tue)
Young, talented musicians from Hokkaido University Jazz Circle are performing 2 nights in Half Note. Some of them have professional level skills and contributing a lot to create a good Jazz venue in Sapporo. Enjoy their 6 piece heavy hitting Jazz, Fusion, and some funk.

Kenji Matsumoto with Kanako Hayashi (Piano), Feb 11 (Sat) and 12 (Sun)
Kenji Matsumoto (TS) from Sapporo is performing swinging Jazz standard numbers with his robust tenor sax sound, accompanied by Kanako Hayashi(Piano) Enjoy his very entertaining show. Possibly get into exciting dancing night!

Koichi Hiroki & Tomohiro Yahiro Duo, Feb 17 (Fri)
Advance ticket 2,000 yen (One drink included) 2,500 yen on the day
Two of genuine world class musicians are performing in duo live at Niseko Half Note. Koichi has been playing around in Tokyo with many top musicians from all over the world. Tomohiro has performed many prestigious halls such as Carnegie, and Kennedy Center. He once had been nominated for Grammy award. Enjoy their Bossa Nova based sophisticated music!

Mamiko Grace and Super Session Band, Feb 18 (Sat)
Mamiko Grace is showing up Half Note with her band “Super Session Band” Please enjoy their exciting R&B and Funk music! Could be a great dancing night. Make sure yourself get ready for another crazy night in Half Note!

Esmie, Feb 19 (Sun)
Esmie, from Sapporo sings a wide range of songs: pops, jazz, gospel, soul, R and B. Her powerful and beautiful voice will grab your heart and never let you go. Last show in January ended up to be an exciting dancing night, let’s make it happen again!

Hiroshi Itaya Trio, Feb 26 (Sun)
One of a very popular pianist from Sapporo. Plays traditional and modern main stream Jazz. His energetic and dynamic piano sound will be very exciting and fun. Authentic be-bop drummer, Kenji Tateyama is also joining.
