Niseko Snow Report // January 22, 2010

By 22nd January 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Around 20 cms fell in the last 24 hrs giving a nice top up to our three metre base.

Yesterday’s "breezes" will have moved a fair bit of snow into the trees, but thankfully they have abated today so the windchill won’t be quite so bad. Do rug up though, as we’re still looking at temps around -17 at the top stations. The temps should warm a little over coming days, and the winds should subside. All the signs are there for another good dump Sunday night.

For those of wanting to scratch that back-country itch, the peak gates look set to stay closed today, though some gates will open. Check here for the most up to date Avalanche info, and always listen to the Patrol.
