Hidamari Café, Kutchan

By 26th December 2009August 27th, 2013

Even on the snowiest days, the sun is always shining at Café Hidamari. Hidamari means sunny spot, and is run by big-hearted Kenichiro Takahashi.

Takahashi-san employs people who have had a rough trot and helps them get back on their feet again.

He would like everyone in Kutchan to come down and enjoy the café.

There are meeting rooms available and freshly ground drip coffee from ¥200.

There are thousands of free comic books to read too – although English speakers may have to settle for looking at the pictures!

They also make a killer chiffon cake.

Open 11am-7pm (lunch 11.30am-2pm). On Route 5 near Joy. Map C3/p46.
