That last night’s snowfall was the best of the week says more about the preceding days than what fell last night. A couple of cms — double that higher up — not enough to have anyone breaking out the snow shovels anyway.
Today should see a few scattered snow showers, bringing only the same again as last night. The next weather system to push through on Saturday looks set to bring precipitation, but lots of warm air too, and that may mean rain even at the top station.
